Texas Debt Settlement Attorneys
Our Texas debt settlement
service includes everything offered in our
debt collector
harassment defense service (for one debt) plus an
hour’s worth of debt settlement negotiations from one of
our Texas debt lawyers. The fee for this service is
$500.00. There is no discount for
additional debts. This service is appropriate if it
seems likely that you will be sued and is limited to
instances where the debt collector threatening you is
another lawyer or a debt collector working for a debt
collection law firm. We can probably tell you how likely
the threat of actually being sued is during the initial
consultation. We are very familiar with the most active
of the Texas consumer debt collection attorneys and will
generally have a pretty good idea of whether or not a
lawsuit seems likely. This service also includes the
drafting or review of settlement documentation to ensure
that you are properly protected, if a settlement is
reached.
Already Have a
Judgment Against You?
Texas Judgment laws can make life hard on a judgment
debtor. If the debt collection lawsuit is over and a
judgment has already been entered against you, we still
may be able to help. We offer judgment settlement
negotiation services. We also bill a flat fee for this
service of $500.00. This service
includes the initial consultation and an hour of
settlement negotiations. An hour is usually the longest
it will take us to determine whether or not the creditor
is willing to be reasonable and agree to a settlement
for an amount and on terms that you can live with. We
have settled final judgments for as little as 10% of the
amount of the judgment, though it is important to know
that we are not able to guarantee you a specific result
because each case is different. This service also
includes the drafting or review of settlement
documentation to ensure that your rights are protected.
This service does not
include post-judgment lawsuit representation. In other
words, the service described above is limited to
representing our client in settlement negotiations, not
in responding to post-judgment discovery or defending
against execution actions like garnishments or turn-over
orders. We do sometimes offer representation in those
situations, but we charge by the hour to do so.
We offer other consumer legal services on an hourly fee
basis as well. Please call for a free consultation if
you like what you have read on our website and think
that we might be able to help you.
What We Don’t Do:
Debt Consolidation.
Debt Counseling.
Debt Reduction.
Credit Card Interest Rate Negotiation.
We are a law firm and our
services are limited to professional fee-based legal
representation. We don’t take money from consumers on a
monthly basis or suggest that they borrow additional
debt to try and settle the outstanding debt they already
have. We also do not charge “reverse contingency” fees,
meaning we will not turn around and charge you an
additional fee that is a percentage of the debt that we
save you, thus becoming another one of your creditors.
Our flat fees are fully disclosed and agreed upon up
front. There will be no surprises. |
